Summer Musical Theatre Camp Disney’s 101 Dalmatians (Grades k – 8) June 16 – 20 & June 23 – 27 Camp Hours 9 am – 4 pm (Early and Late Care 8 am – 6 pm is available for additional fee) Talented coaches and other specialists will be on hand to teach set and costume design, acting skills, stage combat, dance and choreography, and music. The 10-day camp will end with a free public performance of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians at The Elias Center for the Performing Arts 212 South 5th Street Mifflinburg PA. Students are responsible for bringing a packed lunch each day. Pizza will be provided for dinner on the Friday before the performance. Primary instructors: Alyssa N. Ronco, soprano, a native of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, where she founded Cadenza Voice Studio in 2011. She enjoys building voices but more so building each student and unlocking their greatest potential through music. Ms. Ronco has performed all over the Unites States, Canada and in Italy including performances with New Jersey Opera, Oberlin in Italy, The Susquehanna Valley Chorale and Educational outreach in NYC public schools. She holds her Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and her Master of Music Degree from Manhattan School of Music. Her students have participated in PMEA and NAFME district, regional, state and all east and national competitions, excel in their school’s theater programs, have been NATS competition winners and been accepted to some of the most prestigious college music and acting programs and summer music programs in addition to beginning their own professional careers. She is a member of the National Association of the Teachers of Singing. Her favorite role is that of mother to her daughter Angeli. They love to go on many adventures, love horses, their 5 dachshunds and cooking all sorts of amazing things in the kitchen! Tim Warren is an active conductor and director recently working with the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras, Vegas City Opera, Opera Las Vegas, UNLV Opera/Conservatory Theatre, NEXTET new music ensemble, UNLV bands, and the Southern Nevada Chamber Orchestra. Tim is an advocate for music education, teaching at Great Basin College, UNLV, CSN, serving as Director of Bands and Orchestras at Palo Verde High School, and teaching private music lessons. Warren is an experienced stage and music director leading over 50 theatre productions resulting in 300 performances and adjudicating for the National High School Musical Theatre awards. As a promoter of new music, he premiered many works by new composers. He has served as a conductor, director, and clinician for theatre, band, and orchestra throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada and his guest conducting engagements include the Hochstein School of Music, Roberts Wesleyan College, Susquehanna University, the Zion Youth Symphony Orchestra, and leading ensembles in France, Argentina, China, Australia, and Scandinavia. Warren holds a MM from the New England Conservatory, a BS from Roberts Wesleyan College, and is a Doctoral of Musical Arts candidate at UNLV. When not in the studio or on the podium he enjoys working out at the park, hiking, hanging with his dogs, and trying out new restaurants. Jonah Carney, assistant director, is completing his sophomore year at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in Vocal Music Education. He sings with the Penn State Concert Choir and Essence of Joy and serves as the Vice President-Elect and Cymbal Guide of the Penn State Marching Blue Band. Prior to Penn State, Jonah attended Lewisburg Area High School, participating in various choirs, bands, and orchestras, as well as participating in various PMEA District, Regional, and State ensembles and NAfME All-Eastern and National ensembles. Jonah is a charter member of the Valley Four barbershop quartet, singing as the tenor and acting as the Treasurer of the group. Outside of music, Jonah is an avid member of Penn State Cru (a Christian organization) and officiates Intramural Sports. He enjoys running, playing table tennis and Spikeball, making spreadsheets, and spending time with his family, Summer, and friends.
